About

Uncle Jason’s Popcorn began in the kitchen, where Jason Hester shared some of his happiest moments making popcorn with his niece Emmie and nephew Landon. For Jason, popcorn wasn’t just a snack—it was a tradition, a way to connect, and a small act of care. He had a real talent for it, always experimenting with new flavors and sharing his creations with family and friends.
Jason passed away from cancer in 2023 at just 43 years old. His passing was a devastating loss to everyone who knew him. In the midst of grief, his family came together to keep his spirit alive in a way that felt meaningful and true to who he was.
What started as a simple “thank you” favor for guests at his Celebration of Life grew into something far greater. Emmie and Landon—alongside the rest of their family—helped launch Uncle Jason’s Popcorn, a mission-driven company that celebrates Jason’s legacy with every batch.
Today, Uncle Jason’s Popcorn is more than just a treat. With a variety of handcrafted flavors available at local events and online, it shares Jason’s warmth, generosity, and sense of joy well beyond his family circle. Proceeds support the Jason Hester Foundation, which directs funds to causes that mattered deeply to him, continuing his tradition of helping others.
Every handful of Uncle Jason's Popcorn is a tribute - to a man who believed in the power of kindness, the joy of shared moments, and of course, the magic of really good popcorn.
All profits support the Jason Hester Foundation.
